Shrug off the tiredness
Of the year - - banish
All your troubles and
Come together in the
Old tradition to cheer

Remember the plight
Of those around the
World who are less
Fortunate and needy
Who cannot celebrate

Consider those who
Are away this year
Perhaps fighting so
That we may remain
Safe in our homes

Think of our aged
Relatives or friends
Who may struggle
With the cold or who
Might share our food

Not least - - look at
The empty spaces
Around the dinner
Table and remember
Those not with us

To all who was - - who
Is with us today and
Who is maybe on the
Way - - Happy Xmas
And a Happy New Year

Hi, I really like the context of the poem and the imagery but, maybe a little more figurative language could make it stronger. (it's just a suggestion. You can also keep it as it is.) Thanks for the read! :-)
