Array ( [sid] => 169383 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Humming bird [time] => 2011-12-17 11:23:48 [hometext] => I made this when a friend of mine was in a dark place. She's now all right, but this poem is still for her. [bodytext] =>

Small and sprity, you had no care in the world,
You were so happy, everything right with you're world.
You flew to every flower and tree,
You flew, and you were free of any greed.

Little humming bird, why do you not sing?

It seemed so early that you where yourself.
You were so wild and free...
Why do you not sing?

Everything was all right with you're life, you had all the love and friendship.
Everything seemed to be so good,
So innocent,
So right.

Little humming bird, what happened to you're wings?
Did they break them?
Did they be mean?
What happened to make you stop singing?
Will you even tell me?

Hold on tight, to all you were,
If it's lost, It's lost for good.
Don't replace laughing with weeping.
Please, just listen to me.
Hold on tight, don't loose yourself,
It'll be all right, sometimes we all need a little help.
Please, just listen to me,
Everything will be fine, you'll see.

Little humming bird, trapped in you're cage,

Yearning for a wonderful excape.
Why do you not sing?
Listen to me, and you will see.

Thye lock is unlatched,

I watch you stretch,
You take wing to the corn-flower blue sky, and i want to shout and cry.

Little humming bird, take wing,

Little humming bird, did i not tell you everything would be all right?
Do not tarry, and just keep flying,
No more unhappiness, and everything is now all right. Even though Hummingbirds don't sing,
the humming sounds they make are
from flapping their wings faster than
any other creature alive. However,
this poem SINGS! Keep inspiring!
Love,
Rob
