Array ( [sid] => 169376 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => CLOSED OF FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD [time] => 2011-12-17 04:33:26 [hometext] => this poem is about us as society ignoring the fact that theres others like us in other parts of the world. that might be going threw the same struggles as you or are crying out to help but we cant hear them [bodytext] => Its hard to hear those voices
that have never been heard
its like we listen to the top
while the bottom we keep blurred
blurred out from our image
of this world that we live in
foot prints over foot prints
not knowing who stepped in em

the mind of a man
is not defined by quotes on a rubber band
we are who we choose to be
we think we live alone
thinking what did i do
not knowing there's another soul going
threw the same feel as me

this world is a theater
with a whole bunch of seats
we all see it different
are emotions different
we all have different heart beats
that sound off as one
but we never hear one single
beat

hundreds of leaves on a tree
we all see the same all the same
until one falls off
and we see how much different one can be
one is slightly green
another slightly brown
and yellow
i wonder if someone like me fell off
and saw what i saw
that we are one big hall full of lockers
with a lock
we gotta learn the combination
because wearing just a band
is not enough [comments] => 2 [counter] => 229 [topic] => 55 [informant] => lyricalpoet [notes] => Please do not comment on your own work. Your comment on this poem has been removed. You would think that in these trying times we live in ,people would be more open-minded. Sadly this is not the case-people mock what they don't understand and that to me is the worst. Instead of embracing differences and letting it be --the first thing that happens is hatred and to me that is just plain sad. Nicely written --thanks for writing.

I was wondering where you went. Haven't seen much of your writing lately. WELCOME back and Happy Hollidays. Nice verse!
