into the world.
It felt as if it were her first.

She felt new, refreshed, revived;
and you may wonder why.
Well it's because she met him.

But I don't think it's love,
not even a little crush.
Because she doesn't act the same around him.

I tell her, I try.
She doesn't listen,
God, why?
I'm a good friend,
I tell her it's not good.
That it's not love.
That she's not herself
around him.

She ignores me,
she always does.
But he's a player,
I know.

I grew up with this
foul mouthed Christian boy.
Who only manipulates girls
into thinking he loves them
just to say he's dating them.

He hangs on her friends,
sits with them during lunch
and when she's sad
She comes to me.

Where is Daniel?
He's off with her friends,
hugging on them,
hanging on them
and she doesn't see.

She doesn't see the Daniel I see.
The Daniel I know.
That foul mouthed Christian boy.

I ask her if it bothers her
that he never talks to her.
That he rarely hugs her.
Only when he has free time.

She likes it. She loves it.

So I found this note she wrote.
Saying how much she loved him.
And I remembered what my mom taught me:
"Never put anything in writing."
So I threw it away.

Maybe I was wrong,
I don't know.
Maybe I'm jealous,
I don't get love like his.

But it isn't love!

I get so frustrated,
she's so sensitive.
She gets upset over little things,
only sharing them with me,
denying every tiny thing.
And if he broke her heart -
when he breaks her heart,
she'll come to me.

Because,
quite frankly,
I'm not a douche bag. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 118 [topic] => 21 [informant] => reebeat [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

This made me really think, it's hard when a friend finds a guy who really isn't the one. Love is harsh, but keep loving her and maybe she'll realise who the boy really is. Although you want to, if she ever comes crying to you after a break up, don't tell her you told her so, just comfort her.

Great poem :) I really like it, I can relate quite a bit :3
