[hometext] => The Walls we all hide behind
[bodytext] => You tell me that it’s ok, That I can trust in you, That you’d never hurt me, it’s not something you’d do. That relationships from before, belong in the past, You say we can build a love that’ll last. The thing is, I have these walls, that protect my inner self, My barriers for heartbreak and mental health. They’re impenetrable, at least that’s what I thought, My heart can’t be won, stolen or bought. But you see through my mask, to the vulnerability inside, Im fighting the urge to run, to escape, to hide. If you rip down my walls and expose my soul, You have to promise to love my everything, my whole. So you’ve torn down my walls, I’m exposed and afraid, Please be gentle, or my last hope you’ll have put paid. My heart is yours now, to have and to hold, My walls gone forever, my soul to behold.
