Can’t you feel me looking at you?
Does she know how much I’d give?
I love her so, she’s my will to live.

Her groom appears, sweeps her off her feet,
He’s the man I long to beat.
Does she know I’d treat her right?
But I’ve given her up with barely a fight.

It’s her day, I must be gracious,
No longer fun, laughing and flirtatious.
Does she know that what she’s lost is gone?
A soul mate, a friend, a life both full and long.

I can’t stay any longer, it hurts me so,
In my entire life, I’ve never felt so low.
Does she know that this is it?
Will she care, even a little bit?

She turns suddenly and smiles at me,
I can’t leave now, what will be, will be.
Does she know the pain I endure for her?
The rest of the party passes in a blur.

The reception is over and she’s gone in a flash,
I stay behind, my heart broken and smashed.
Does she know I’ll never get over this?
The temptation arises for sweet peaceful bliss.

A sound behind me, she’s come back,
There’s just us, everything fades to black.
She pulls me close, she leans ever near,
Slowly she whispers in my ear…
… I Know
