One step will take me over; I find myself slowing.
There is a great abyss which no-one has survived,
Here the spirits of my people have thrived.

I am on the precipice now and teetering,
My strength and resolve now is weakening.
The broken ice makes my decision for me,
I am falling; all around me darkness I see.

It is time for me to travel to the city in the sky,
People will say my death is a journey gone awry.
While the mortals go about their daily business,
Above them I will fly; my destination aimless.

My life is fading and there is nothing else to say,
For a quick entry into the shadows I will pray.
Godspeed my friends; one day again we will meet,
You with great joy once more I will greet.
