I’ve known for years
They’ve made me shed
Such painful tears.

Behind my back
They whisper and scheme
Trying to shatter
My beautiful dream.

They wouldn’t accept
My happiness
They told her lies
That caused distress.

They kicked me down
And stabbed my back
In the hope that they’d
Get her in the sack.

Grow up they said
Stop blaming us
I hope their heads
Fill up with puss!

To hate would give me
Such relief
But all I’m feeling
Is a kind of grief.

For now she’s gone
She’d had enough
They tore her from me
The woman I love.

Should I ignore
What they’ve done to me
Take them back as mates
Or appear lonely?

If they won’t admit
Their sin, envy
Then they don’t deserve
A friend like me.

Such lies why did
They need to tell
My friends, yeah right,
Rot in hell! [comments] => 5 [counter] => 276 [topic] => 6 [informant] => Unaekseveer1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

classic sign of jealousy, they saw you happy and wanted a part of it. They dont sound like true friends to me, or ones I could trust again.

Hi Chatabox,
Well actually they wanted and took ALL of it, and because I don't do fighting, I just let them! The worst of it was I never accused anyone of doing anything but felt guilty in myself for my thoughts, so I actually went round each of them and apologised to them for quietly thinking they were wrong with what I feared were their actions! 'that's OK we understand'. I only found out my silent thoughts were right all along when one of them dumped his lovely wife alone in their new home, to sod off with her! Which they all new was going on I then discovered, but somehow all failed to tell me. I found out what another had tried from a woman in my then local, who had nothing to gain, she just didn't like what she saw them doing at a party, which I knew nothing of, and had the balls to tell me! I suppose they had thier reasons. I'd listen to them lying to everyone alse and for some reason thought they were different with me? I'll not be such a pushover next time, not that these particular individuals deserve or are about to get a next time with me! We all continue to learn I suppose, but they will no longer learn anything from me!
With love
Dean

Dean, I have had a friend or two like that. But it isn't really that common for me to have friends that deceive me, i am a really good judge of character at least in friends, boyfriends I'm not so good that that. I usually end up with complete jerks.

Hi Candice,
I thought myself to be a fair judge of character also! I could see what these individuals were like towards other people. I just never imagined they would treat my feelings with the same total disregard! How bloody stupid of me!
Now I find it really hard to trust anyone, even those I know wouldn't meanfully hurt me.
I was and am still so mad with them, I wouldn't dream of behaiving in such a bad way as all 3 of my best mates did, each in slightly different ways, but all with same result!
Why couldn't they just be nice natured people, or why was I so wishfully blind is more the point!
You will find the one that isn't a jerk, honest!
Did you go for it yet? Just curious.

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, It is really not your fault that they treated you that way, so people can be very deceiving. Or it could have been that you were just too trusting. There was a time when I was too trusting. No I haven't gone for it yet. But I am going to, the next time I talk to him. Wish me luck, I am SO nervous about this.
