THE NIGHT BEFORE TOMORROW!

Contributed by robert_edgar_burns on Tuesday, 6th December 2011 @ 07:08:23 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Twas the night before tomorrow,
And we heard not a peep.
The cat ate the mouses
While we were asleep!

I awoke from a deep sleep
And heard not a purr.
But I started sneezing
From the cats own loose fur.

I looked out my window
Wondering where is that cat?
He had gotten outside,
And was carrying a rat.

I heard a Rottweiler barking
As the cat hit the tree.
He was looking for help,
With his head turned toward me!

I yelled “Call all the rats and mice
You have tortured now for years.”
“I’m sure they would help
Had you not killed all their peers!

Twas the night before tomorrow,
New mice are running free.
Oh yes, and that Rottweiler,
Is up on the bed beside me!
