Life's Fine Print

Contributed by dvtpdw on Tuesday, 6th December 2011 @ 02:33:34 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

I crash through the days, always falling
I look behind each nook and corner
Trying to figure out what's scaring me
I run and run, with no end in sight

Trying to get through this maze of crazy life
Trying not to do damage to damage already done
Life within is advertised available to everyone
But everything is written in such fine print

I've spent time trying to decipher this print
I follow the words, can't make out the letters
All of it is some kind of strange gibberish
Everything I try to do right ends up being wrong

I listen, I think - wait, I'm going backwards
I'm looking the wrong way, now look into my heart
My life is mine, my words will guide my path
I just need to believe in myself, my soul will rise

No more need to be afraid of each corner
No worry if I fit in everywhere or nowhere
My world is inside me, it shows me the right path
I found the wind of light and blew the darkness away

I'll live my life so that all who cross this path will know
That I tried to leave in my shadow a goodness of soul
Those who tread down this path of light and hope
Will find a way out of the maze into life with God's love

Wow this write is powerful in such a gentle way. You've taken one of life's most valuable lessons and turned into a masterpiece of beauty.
Awesome.
Blessings, smiles,
