[bodytext] => The little brown Cocker Spaniel Looking much like his daddy Mike, Was sitting by a great big tree, Watching a little boy hike! With his little bow legs, And his short stubby nose, Sitting near the lake Where the green grass grows. He looked so much like Mike, Cause his hair was brown and wavy. And the sorrowful look in his eyes, Was far away and hazy. One day Mike got distemper, And the blue but cloudy sky, Must have told my dog something, For he knew he was going to die! My mother Bobbie Ann wrote these verses As an eight year old little girl. She now shares her home in Heaven, With Mike watching over this world!
