Nirvana in the palm of your hand.
Have you heard of anything so grand?
Yet having attended the classes
I take my ease and remove my glasses
Preparing to enter my imagination

Closing my eyes I focus on my breathing
Slowly the fears and the woes are easing
In my mind the ticking of the metronome
Whilst mentally I picture the fires of home
Then feeling safe I slip silently away.

Entering the forest of a waking dream
Nothing there is as it would seem.
The backdrop of stars holds a massive sun
Whilst the voyage of the moon is done
Leaving behind her bejewelled black canvas.

The air is sharp and my mind is focussed
Purity of sanity entrenched, I am blessed.
Edging forward I stroke the bark of trees
Animals scurrying forward, eager to please
This is the forest of emotional equilibrium.

Non-existent clouds shower the floor
With kaleidoscopic rainfall, I want more
As the sensation is not wet like the rain
But one of a touch not dampness and pain
And I am caressed by light down to the bone.

In and out with chronological regularity
The shallow, steady breaths bring about clarity.
A sage could not engineer such perfection
A mergence of mind and body in an action
Of spiritual cleansing and holistic healing.

Alcohol and self-esteem issues fall away
Into the sparkling night of Nirvana’s day
And pausing I stand, a renaissance man
With a mission now forming, a modern plan
To banish the insecurity of real-life sorrow.

It is hard to stir and leave this place
But when I do etched on my happy face
Is a smile as broad as the mirage moon
And I exhort the problems of day to soon
Challenge me and fall by the wayside.

Good work. Really good thing. Sounds like yoga.
Blessings,
