Array ( [sid] => 16901 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => 'Til Death Do Us Part? [time] => 2003-05-02 18:35:00 [hometext] => very touching, considering the source. romantic in a suicidal sort of way. the lament of a widowed man. [bodytext] => you tried to hide the pain inside
but i could see it in your eyes
would never admit your suffering
hid behind a wall of lies
i wonder why you never asked for help
why you never came to me
now it's too late, can't reach you where you are
on the otherside of eternity

you pushed me away
you would not let me in
you refused to ask for help
you could not do it alone
so rather than turn to me
you simply killed yourself

at first i hated you, i was so p**t off
i couldn't understand why
you wouldn't let me be there for you
you wouldn't even let me try
said that you were fine, and i shouldn't worry
then the subject was quickly changed
now i'm here alone, in this world without you
and it feels so ***** strange

you pushed me away
you would not let me in
you refused to ask for help
you could not do it alone
so rather than turn to me
you simply killed yourself

i guess i was selfish, i wanted to save you for me
i couldn't imagine life without you
now inside my head, i might as well be dead
cuz all i do is think about you
reliving memories, recalling every smile
confined inside our collective past
the present doesn't exist, i only know "before"
life like this surely cannot last

you pushed me away
you would not let me in
you refused to ask for help
you could not do it alone
so rather than turn to me
you simply killed yourself

we were so much alike, can't believe it took so long
for me to see that, even now, that does not end
so now with razor in hand, i will be with you again
my life, my love, my friend
tears in my eyes, no one left to hear my goodbyes
this time spent all alone, now through
my final thought is of the promise i gave
"wherever you are, i'll be there too"

you pushed me away but, knew i'd never stay
too far from you, my love, so true
now with your hand in mine, i feel complete
my heaven is right here beside you
whether heaven, hell, or naught, it doesn't matter
you will always live inside my heart
i told you before, and i meant every word
even in Death, we will not part [comments] => 4 [counter] => 463 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

wow very touching not so angry as some of your poems more resigned and sad yet I dunno... caring perhaps. This has the potential to be a great song by the way.
