Long live the day

This wind it carried us, this storm it buried us.
This world it swallowed us, this wave it rescued us.
Faithless contradictions lead the way, minor fabrications kept astray.
My lioness, my flower, your gentle caress represses your very power.
Shimmering on occasion, learning of this dangerous liason.
Pluck the petals from my flower, they will float to the sun.
Spiraling up to Mr. maker's tower, hesitantly taunting as we run.
What have you done, enlist the help of your heart.
Where have you gone, it was always here for you in full regard.
At a time when we would, at a moments will.
As they say we shoud feel life's greatest thrill.
Long gone has the day, for us awaits another.
Lightly shades of gray, serve for us as a cover.
