It’s been forty one years
This past twelfth of June,
Since you came home with me,
To share my bedroom.
There hasn’t been
A single day since,
That I wasn’t proud
To be called your prince.
We’ve had our battles,
Our struggles and strife's.
I would have succumbed
Were you not my wife.
I have the muscle
But you have the strength.
To prove your love for me
You’ve gone to great lengths.
You’ve forgiven me much.
More than I recall.
The times I’ve felt puny
You made me feel tall.
You encourage and nurture,
And shown yourself to be,
Of all the girls God put on Earth,
The One Just for me!
