[hometext] => I wrote this piece aug. 6Th of 2011. As an imaginative situation. But going through and finding this, I think that it can be slightly related to the Occupy Movement. Local: Occupy Portland. Just felt like sharing it.
[bodytext] => Step back Hold your breath Close your eyes These buildings are getting taller These buildings are getting closer The sunset is setting the sky on fire A riot is building in the tension of the chaos And I'm sitting on the edge of a rooftop Looking down What if we created a revolution? I see authoritative figures trying to take control Trying to contain the movement Trying to convince others not to join our point of view Because to them we are a threat to their power But as a whole, we are immovable We are standing against injustice We are fighting for our right of freedom Because it was stolen It was murdered The murderer disguised as innocent Our government is filthy Dangling my legs off the edge Its time for a revolution, my friend We need to fight for everything we have lost Look above, the sky is trying to cry The horizon is on fire And the thunderstorms are rolling in But theres a smile on her face, see those stars?
