Adam 6 can you respond to a school bus stop
And a three legged dog?
I went 10-8 from a two minute break
After dispatching a large rattle snake.
It’s head flew off in a puff of smoke.
But it kept right on crawling.
Could this be a joke?
I pulled up to the bus stop,
With a wood line on either side.
The bus was just ahead of me,
All the kids still sat inside.
I wondered out loud “What have we here?”
Something’s not right, This picture’s not clear.
I walked up toward the driver of the bus,
But he refused to open the door.
I said “I need to come inside,
And needed to know so much more.”
The grass did move behind me.
I heard the screech of a little girl.
I turned and saw her up a tree
Then I saw a great white whirl.
Nothing had moved any faster
In my life time, that did not have wings.
Then I saw teeth clenching the barrel
Of the shotgun I happened to bring.
I turned and swung the weapon,
And in circles that dog flew.
Thank goodness he held onto the gun
And not a small child or two.
The little girl felt safer
The moment I had arrived.
She climbed down from her berth
And as her feet hit the earth,
The dog let go of the gun
It ran after that little girl.
After both I did run
AS my hands aimed the gun.
Sinking into a snipers stance
I knew I had just one chance
To keep that girl alive.
She fell down on her side
And she loudly did cry.
My trigger was pulled, doggy died.
