We drove around leisurely into the kingdom of tranquility
I glanced at the coconut trees as they stood up tall and brawny
As we continued to drive for a kilometer and a quarter
I peeped through the slender trunks to see the turquoise water
I descended the vehicle onto pearl white sand
Another tree stood brawny beside me, not coconut but almond
There were palm-covered huts with seats and tables for shade
And small restaurants with geera pork and fries all home-made
We spread our towels and laid under a tree
Watched the water skiers and wind surfers all in glee
Beachgoers of various races scorching under the sun
All slurping on a beer and having fun
As the sun began to set, we leaped into the water
It was cold at first, but the temperature changed as we went in further
He held my hand and helped me across the seaweed
Through the clear water it seemed so eerie
We played in the water and splashed each other
I tried not to get my hair wet, but he didn’t bother
He tried to swim and gave me a back ride
Before you know it, the tide was high
We departed the water and dried out
Dusk was before us as we drove out
It was a relaxing day at this joint
I know for sure I’ll be returning to the Pigeon Point
