[hometext] => This is a rewrite of a poem I posted years ago with added verse.
[bodytext] => Today the sun came rising Above the mountains high. I watched in awe as I saw The treetops touch the sky! The ground with dew did glisten, As sunbeams downward fell. The sounds of morning filled the air And set off mornings' smell. The splendor of this visage, Which I was blessed to see, Caused me to sigh in wonderment, From deep inside of me. The vision was perfection. It could not better be. Unless of course you were here To share this morn with me. Mountains stand ten thousand years. We're here just a few. I want to spend each one of them, Rising with the sun, and you! My eyes have grown much dimmer, As they often do with age. But sunsets are just as beautiful, And as worthy of as much praise!
