my skin, my hiding place

Before you. I stand. bare. skin. our only barrier. with your eyes. still. you strip me. peeling off all pigment. I’m barren. Unbidden. Desolate. for long lost love affairs, nights ago, leave me shame ridden. untangle my scars riddles, it will lead you to the place where my heart lies. I am blue on the inside. this black skin does not do. bind me in your insolence. let me feel the touch of sharp words graze my skin till it burns and sheds red crimson stains of dismay. handle me without care. you have seen it all. before you. I stand. Bare. Naked. teach me that love, sees no flaw.
