Denying reality is a fallacy

The crescent moon contrasts black sky... shielding fools in pale light.
In darkest night... our secrets lie,
gripping us until we die,
night's wane light... can't shed the truth,
we juggle lies...a fragile ruse,
Always there, but never seen,
a simple truth... behind a screen,
Dancing around truth...we hide,
and with denial we collide,
Even those with open eyes,
are blind to those with clever lies,
for truth it is a melody,
wrapped inside a memory,
reality... it makes us burn,
and to the lies... we shall return,
for weakness is the real truth,
denial wins because it soothes...
the minds of those who fear a lie,
and some of us may never try,
to shed the fear, and live a life,
free of fear of wisdom's might,
so bring to bear... this fear inside,
make truth, and love, and life collide.
