Heroine or Villain

Contributed by Deidra_Carmichael on Tuesday, 11th October 2011 @ 04:01:04 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

I'm often thought of as your heroine

One you admire from afar and would endure the world

All for the sake of making your allegiance and adoration known

My name is embedded within your fantasies; my disposition in your thoughts

Yet my latest fault has been revealed and you may deem paradise lost

Just say it- The effect of your anxiety stems from the cause of my own

I realize Marley's chains tend to enslave innocent individuals

Should my share of guilt and indecisive judgment become yours

After all we have not legitimately signed off on such a deal

Based  on my knowledge a villain would intentionally commit this fallacy

And still I search for this answer: Does an accidental villain exist

Tis your decision to categorize one such as I

Am I the heroine of your world or the villain ready to pillage your village

A shame it is if I am both and cannot shed my impure coat

Perhaps a temporary residence in an unclaimed land will do me good

If my colonization fails I will realize you, my true keeper, is who I must stay with

Often there is such a fine line between
those two concepts. As a retired Law
Enforcement Officer, I know well those
gray lines are some times blinding lights.
Blessings,
Robert Edgar Burns (Rob)
