Hope this worked for the reader. Please comment. [bodytext] => Sleepless in Love

Sleep, the necessary evil so hard to attain.
Time, the ever present monster lumbers on.
I’ve tried to rest but now listen to the rain,
No hope for rest that chance has gone.
I think instead of her, my love
And at that point a cry above
Sleepless too my faithful owl?
Upon your wise old face a scowl,
As I wrest with matters deep
That interrupt my chance to sleep
I bid you, join me for a while
And put upon my face a smile
As I stare upon your eye,
That glows so bright like evil fire
For mice and rats a funeral pyre.

What are you thinking O my dear?
I trust slumber now and not a fear
Holds you to its bosom tight,
For it is only justly right
That you should lie without a care.
Come all you demons come I dare
You touch this beauty at your cost
I guard her now so mark, beware.
Deep colours, hues arise on far
That heralds morn our rising star
Which stirs to take its rightful place
And dominate our morning sky.
My final thought as time flies by
Is why I’m blessed by God above
To hold your cherished, precious love.

Deep within my sleepless breast
Peace my love, I bid you, rest.

Restless nights... watching your lover sleep. Deftly captured. :)
