Falling faster than yesterday
My heart is beating still today
Running towards the endless light
Trying to escape that frightful night
Calling out that forbidden name
Playing in the Devil’s wicked game
Jumping over the large abyss
My thoughts are still amiss
As I start to fall again
My mind goes to that one sin
The one I will never forget
The one I will always regret
I had made that fateful mistake
When a life my hands did take
He took my child and began to run
So my hands did raise and shoot that gun
Soaked in blood she ran to me
The gun fell and I dropped to my knee
I held her close in the pouring rain
My daughter would never know that pain
The pain of her innocence taken away
To feel dirty still today
I looked at her and said I love you so
She looked in my eyes and said Mommy I know
I slowly began to cry
As I took my baby somewhere dry
Now I sit in this small cell
Knowing now the meaning of hell
My baby I will never see grow
Or see her laugh and play in the snow
They asked me if I regret that sin
I said, hurt my baby and I’ll do it again
They stick the needle in my arm
So I could cause no more harm
I see my life flash before my eyes
While all my family cries
The day turns to night
And now I begin the fight
Falling faster than yesterday
My heart stopped beating today
