[bodytext] => We had a problem, so you took a pill
Purposefully going against my will
If you couldn’t face me you’d reach for the gin
It gave you a way of not letting me in
Things got unhappy, you went for a smoke
A clever way of turning it into a joke
As early as 10am with a glass in your hand
Time of day didn’t stop you when things got too bad
Missing for days and nights with no word
Me searching around for someone who had heard
Then turning up like nothing had changed
“Hey babe, how’s it goin’” like we could be the same
A nervous worry I grew accustomed to hiding
Never knew when I’d see you, could be Monday or Friday
In the end it's ironic, I have now found
You finally left me, not the other way round.
