There are times when you look to the dark sky,
And think, why me, why me of all people,
And there are time when you look past the sky, through the black abyss, and smile,
For as the sun rises from the earth, a ray of light settles upon you,
A ray of warmth and comfort,
A ray that spreads across the land,
changing the grey, dark world, into one of vivid colour and light,
Light playing tricks in the sea, changing blue to green, green to blue,
Casting fantastic shadows from the smooth rolling hills onto the peaceful city below,
And as the sun sets again, the people smile,
For although saddened that another day has ended, another day is to come,

For Holly

There are times when you look to the dark sky,
And think, why me, why me of all people,
And there are time when you look past the sky, through the black abyss, and smile,
