The strongest woman you knew now on my knees - at the end.
I've fallen down a hole ten feet too deep,
and I can't get back up on my own alone.
I've tried crying out my tears washing out my fears,
Nothing seems to work, nothing seems to function anymore.

You said you'd take my heart and protect it,
From the fires of the world and beatings of the drum.
Strumming to it's own tune you changed all the chords,
I wonder what beautiful melody it could have been.
Without you.

Tonight I'm letting you win I'm giving on in,
I never should of been so weak I'm sorry.
All the things I should of told about to others,
Your fear rang through me and I couldn't move.
Why'd you have to haunt me all these years,
Didn't you have any better place to be?

I'm haunted sitting in this room looking up at you,
The man who said he'd protect me from harm.
I'm scared laying in this bed looking around at you,
What crazy thing are you planning to do?

Don't hurt me again - not again I can't take it,
I'm through pretending you're my lover it's not true.
I refuse to play your silly little games,
I don't love you like you think, I won't be an object.
Just leave me alone - haven't you hurt me enough,
Haven't I made up for all my mistakes?

I can feel what you're feeling now...I've been through your situation too before...I'm touch by your work...it really gets into you.
