She breathes in the air
The salty sea, the foamy waves
Wind flowing through her hair

She sings a song for her love
To come and take her away
A golden siren, waiting calmly
Waiting, longing for that day

I remember I passed her once
Standing on the cliff
Her voice was soft, it echoed out
And not a foot would she lift

Through rain or shine she stood
Upon the rocky ledge
A smile implanted upon her face
Her soul to him she pledged

Some say she still stands there
Waiting patiently for her love
Still he has not come for her
He's watching from above [comments] => 3 [counter] => 204 [topic] => 48 [informant] => wilder [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I can see her vividly
I can hear her voice
understand her tradgedy
understand her choice

The one for whom she waits
comes to us all in time
to join us with those gone before
in after-life sublime.

What a lovely poem, tinged with sadness and written in a manner that is easily visualized in both the heart and the mind.

Very well done.
