Array ( [sid] => 166876 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => what i would give [time] => 2011-07-28 02:03:42 [hometext] => wanted to try writting lyrics again, i wrote this awhile a go and never really got any feed back from facebook so i will try here tell me what you think i wrote it for my current girlfriend befroe we started dating [bodytext] => V1: I would give up my whole life

for that chance for you too be my wife

for me and you too grow old

through the warm and the cold

i would give up the night

so i can see your face in the light

when i can stare into your eyes

and tell you not too cry

i would give up all the necessities

for you too stay with me

and you will see

that we were meant too be

I don't think you understand

what i would do to be your man

give up the light, give up the day

all for you too say

that you will stay

with me

V2:

I would give you the world

if only you would be my girl

too many times i have let you go

i'm ready too let our love grow

To be by your side

your rules i abide

too see you when the sun rises

with no surprises

can i be the one you want to call at night

when you want some one to hold you tight

i would give up all the necessities

for you too stay with me

and you will see

that we were meant too be

I don't think you understand

what i would do to be your man

give up time, give up money

give up the light, give up the day

all for you too say

that you will stay

with me

I found the first two lines quite ironic:

I would give up my whole life
for that chance for you too be my wife

That could be a poem in itself, about someone who has to sell his soul for his one wish, knowing ultimately it will be his last.Maybe you could use that theme for your next lyrics.

I absolutely adored every line, every word of this poem! I have the same trouble with my poems being noticed on Facebook (it's like no one really wants to take the time to view my response to life). Take care and God bless,
Deidra
