I go outside to have nature warm my heart,
but instead my feelings are shredded apart.
Across the street I see a boy pushing down a puppy;
I scream for this abuse to stop.

Life keeps pushing me down;
why bother?
People take, take, take.
Dumb me keeps making mistakes.
Mistaking humans as compassionate beings.
Each time I'm used hurts less.

Perhaps this is the scariest thing--the inability to cry.
For if I become numb, the soul within me will die.
The next time life pushes me down will I have the strength to get back up? What's so compelling about this passage
is it's sincerity, it's not to demean, or condescend, or even to preach.
Rather it's how the author see's the world,
which happens to be a truth, although sad, it's reality
the line about, the puppy; captured the idea the most
beautifully melancholy

Trying to keep faith in humanity esp at times when abuse is so apparent is nigh on impossible. we can only then look to find those who can renew our faith.You have reflected our lack of respect for life esp of the wonderful creatures that are here with just as much right and through your sensitivity and pain you are another light in this world to bring a different way a respect and bring warmth of heart that this world desperately needs.

I know exactly what you mean and where you are coming from.
So many times I've felt like whatever I try to do it still ends not getting the results I want.
Other people just seem to ride the wave of success without any effort at all.

And because you have the moxie to write it and mean it, we all felt you pain and related to this sometimes sad sick world. Keep writing and we will grow with you...
