to anything free,
in this world
where even death costs,why?
to whom to I owe,
for this historic moment;
this black space in time.
where is the reason,
where is the rhyme,
that suddenly this
hand's so charitable,
when will the rug
be pulled from beneath,
must be a matter of waiting.

Not to be cynical for
that path's not spiritual,
but I can't except
that there's no clause,
is there a passage I missed,
overlooked or dismissed
in my haste
to fall to the floor,
overwhelmed by disbelief
an intimate grief,
that no charges would be
incurred at my expense,
there must be a catch,
retrospective effect;
now I see!
you've shaped my mind. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 425 [topic] => 25 [informant] => unorthodox [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

Brilliant! Keep questioning conventional knowledge...
recognizing no authority with greater esteem than your own mental process, simply because, someones TOLD you so!
Love it, love it, love it!

A lot of emotion went into this Write, thank you for sharing it. I also enjoyed the flow and I understand your anger all to well. Good Poem!

You speak for all of us when you speak about 'The institution.' Anyone -- a poet -- an artist -- someone who just doesn't fit into the Mold -- feels as you do: distrustful, cynical, suspicious of ulterior motive when someone offers you something good for free. BUT. There are times when our doubt, our distrust of persons, our 'shaped minds' -- misguide us. For there is generosity of a Real kind. You know how i know? I have seen it in you. You give your words for free -- and, sir, much much more. Behold.
