The waiting room
I’m in the waiting room
Waiting to be seen
Waiting for my turn
My appointment with the dentist
Time ticks slowly as I wait
Nervous, twitch as I sit in the large couch
The sound of the drill in the other room makes my heart flutter
I’m all a shudder, wait, wait, wait
Just want it to be over
This is not my favourite place
But you need to look after your knashers
If you don’t you’ll end up gummy
Sucking your food though a straw, yummy
So I wait and prepare for the consequences to come
I wish I’d have brought my mum
