Faces and places are
Rearranged without
Consent, without thought
We change what we don’t
Have. Things I’ve seen,
Places I’ve been will never
Be seen by those who are to
Come. We burn, we reclaim
What was never ours in
The first place. Hacked out
From what was, we say what
We create is better…. To those
Who were there before, to the
Homeless, the extinct, it is
Just another hell on earth.

As I walk, as I stroll upon
The ruin we call progression,
I see the pain in the disfigured
Landscape, but they feel the
Pain, they see the unfunny
Joke people love. But they will
Have the last laugh, even if
It is bitter; we mixed the cup
For ourselves, soon we will
Get to the after taste.
When all the world is our
High-tech desert, will we be
Satisfied, at what we have done
To our planet? Our world will
Spew us forth into the Galaxy,
To contaminate what else we may.

And in the end, when we
Can eat no more, when our
Greed cries out for sustenance
And we look with eyes clear
Of deceit of ourselves,
We will find what we have done-
In the beginning, man worked
With the world, and it was good.
But we have been seduced by
Technology, by our so called
Power, that we wield with no
Integrity; that was lost long ago
Along with, respect and all
The other things that made us
Humane; now, now we are just
Human.

The Superior race has fallen,
Is less than inferior now. The
Masses have to be subject to
The few inferior Superiors,
To those who tell us, who,
How, where but not the why,
To what changes the landscape.

This is really good. It is a shame that not very many people have read it.
