Of cradle with a heart overflowing,
And eyes of innocence return love’s flow,
And helpless hands tiny in formation
Join with determined kicks to reach out
For all that the comfort of mother's arms
Can give, and helplessness is held in
The moments of a need to thrive,
To be nurtured,
To be loved,
And then,

Mother’s eyes join with every sense to know
As she grows, her patterns, her ways
Her struggles
And her achievements.
Her strengthening,
And the times when mother’s arms are needed again.
And there are years and there are tears
And there are memories imprinted
And then,

Mother’s eyes look on at a life on a journey
Moulded and sculpted only for her.
From the kicking of tiny feet in finding
Their direction,
To the walking across the world
A global connection.
And what more could fill a heart and soul
With pride
Than a daughter who walks her path
With mother love
Inside.

This is very nice poem. Really heartwarming and so close to the feelings felt by mothers. Nicely written as well :) :)

Hi Anna,

Mother/child connection is tangible here - the eternal bond!

You captured it gracefully.

Just Beautiful...A bond w/o compare...
I recently went skydiving w/ both my daughter
AND my mother...Leaving me sooo ready to read
& love this...even before I found it here today...
