Natural disasters continue to plague mankind
as does man made war of another kind.
From all the uncertainty, our anxiety will grow.

As frightening as the dangers may be
the fact is, there are no guarantees.
Like Russian Roulette, with one bullet in the gun,
the minute you pull the trigger,
the closer to death you come.

Emotions shattered with broken dreams,
fear runs rampant in all mankind.
As cruelty, disaster and power prevail,
the startling reality is that we may fail.
The world has become a dangerous place.

Whatever happened to faith?
Is no one looking for God and love?
We can only pray that He will intervene,
and exercise some degree of protection for the unforeseen. Very emotive piece you have written, Will. What a pleasure to visit your page again and read your work. Some days it sure does seem that evil is winning and all hope is lost. I sometimes loathe this old saying, but in my life I have often found it to be true- it is always darkest before dawn. If we focus on our own faith then we needn't worry about others. Those that have faith and keep trudging forward will light the path for those that cannot see.

Excellent write my friend :)
