I'm gonna miss those years

Topic: happypoetry

As I reach the end of my adolescents and start to merge into adulthood.
I cannot stop thinking about how my childhood went by and how the days were good.
I remember when I got my first bike
believe me I have the scars that'll make sure I'll never forget.
I remember my first school day and how excited I was
I remember my first pet
And I remember the day me and the girl I still love met.

God I'm gonna miss those days
Remember when you were young
And how excited you got when mommy took you to McDonalds
Or when daddy dressed up as santa clause
And make you wonder where daddy went every time santa came by
And remember when you could just spend a whole saturday in your jammy's
watching cartoons.
Not a care in the world and everyday getting kisses from mommy and daddy before school

But alas time goes on and so do we
We endure broken hearts and painful moments
As we grow older and older until we sleep for eternity
But as we grow older
We will still have these wonderful memories
We can look back at
And think to ourselves
Yes I've had a great life
Our time is limited
But our memories last forever

Ya know its not to late, the other day I went and bought three bottles of bubbles! LOL we can still relive a moment here and there. Does a soul good!
