[bodytext] => Green clouds of plumage twinkle in the last embers of sunlight on this breezy clear blue day. As if from nowhere all is alive and well, as far as I can tell. Money, status, grievances of all kind are blown away. all emotion is born, and dies, in the head. But life..... Life goes on, in it's glorious detail. I take a walk to the off-license, my cheap version of a vice. Drinking without the social discourse I never think twice. The exploits of the modern day traveller criss-cross the sky; like the winner of a lethargic drawing competition. They jet on by, without any knowledge of my journey. They won't be poorer for it, I suspect. No. I know. I never went further than I could comfortably reach the marvels of modern life, all they teach is to be comfortable. Something, someone of my temperament falls for over time, but only for so long. I walk onward, towards 2 teenage boys and a girl, talking. Eventually I notice it's the girl that's talking, on the phone. They look uncomfortable, but anxious to fit in with her ways. She describes in full volume and detail what she can and can't be arsed with, from whoever. Class! From such a pretty thing. How things have changed and we're to blame the comfortable generation. no need to chastise just keep things hassle free and watch t.v. Lazily whilst the pots and clothes wash themselves. We made our own hell and yet we remember fondly, another time when we punished crime and children behaved themselves seen and not heard they never sweared! But now.. if we fall out with whoever, because we can't be arsed we split. The arrangements are easy over 36 months of manageable, easy payments. You can have, and be had, and it's all paid for... tomorrow. We reap what we sow, I know. Back I go to drink my cans in comfort, whilst watching t.v. And I wonder why? the answer is.... just because.
