[bodytext] => The beautiful game. A flow of carefully choreographed manoeuvres, all aimed at transporting a spherical hollow object into a rectangular frame, with the use of all (except arms). Played against an opposing team with the same, equally determined aim. Watched in a tribal fashion by those who care too much (for such a trivial act). Football (don't call it soccer) I LOVE IT! The sheer theatre. It can be the most callous, cynical, boring, frustrating game in the world. Or, it can be the most exciting, electrifying, surprising, enriching game in the world. Not knowing..... That is the theatre. Things can change between the two extremes in an instant, and, unlike most sports- Rich , poor, hot, cold- it is played everywhere. The stone roses had the best line “so good to have equalised”. They are so right. The nearest thing to war, where nobody dies. The most polarising sport in the world. I give you....
