The image in my mind has been faded by faults and hurt
I long for a way to cure this epidemic
And don't know how to do it
Is there a way to pull me out of this bed rock crushing my heart
Some say loving is letting go and I'm starting to agree
Yet love also wants to never cause hurt

What do I say oh! what do I do know
I've got to come out with the truth somehow
Are we really stitched together or am I just clinging on
To something that isn't real
Now I need an answer to this question
How do you say goodbye

If it weren't for the plans and hopes you have awaiting
I wouldn't be running in circles to find a way
To escape committing a crime of tearing you down
You find me wonderful; altogether lovely
Yet the way you treat others is what I'm looking at now
So can these two concepts truly mix
If I never leave how is it you I will truly miss

What do I say oh! what do I do know
I've got to come out with the truth somehow
Are we really stitched together or am I just clinging on
To something that isn't real
Now I need an answer to this question
How do you say goodbye

Well done. Although the answer is usually in the question.
There's no point in staying together unless both of you want to be together, I guess. But then again, most people don't really know what they want
