I want to be the type of mother my daughter is proud to have
I want her to cherish every moment she has with me
Cause I know I will
I want to teach her how to fly amongst the stars
And how to fall into the rubble
I want to teach her to be graceful
And to love the way she is loved.
I want to teach her to be her own person
And not what society indeterminately, wants her to be come
There is no point in hatred, ill tell her
There is no point in war;
There is only point in love and in learning
I want to teach her to learn from her mistakes,
And how to fix them
I want to teach her how to fix the mistakes that are worth fixing
And how to leave the ones that are undeniably broken alone.
I want to teacher that boys will be boys
And if they’re making fun of her it means they like her
I want to teacher that boys will indefinitely hurt her, at one point or another..
And that girls will hurt her to.
I want her to know that no matter how big the ball of pain resting on her chest may feel
Its never as bad as it seems at that time.
I want to teach her that that ball of pain resting on her chest is only there because she layed it there tor sit
I want to teach her that she has the power to end that pain with the flick of a wrist.
I want to teach her that she has the power to do anything her heart truly desires
Be anything her heart truly desires
I want her to know that I support her hearts desires .
After all I will be her mother.
Her suport system.
And now that I think about it
When I grow up.
The type of mother I want to be is the type of mother MY mother is.

Welcome to YPDC.
Great write. This reminds me of my mother that passed away years ago from melanoma cancer.
I walked up on her and she was crying. I asked her what was she thinking about.
She said she just hoped she had been a good mother. I said, That if could be 1/4 a mom as she had been then I would be happy.
Big huggs, blessings,
emy

This is very nice, I lost my mother 12 years ago and it still feels like the first day. Mothers are blessings, and you only get one, so you must cherish her. Thank you for reminding me of the beauty of a mother.
