Glorious Feast - Annunciation

Contributed by Elizabeth_Dandy on Friday, 25th March 2011 @ 12:14:32 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Today,- this day - Archangel Gabriel met
The humble maid in little Nazareth;
Today, - this day - the maiden did agree
To carry in her womb Divinity.

The maid agreed, not knowing of her lot,
To carry in her womb the Word of God,
Annunciation - Oh what blessed day!
Rejoyce poor world that went so far astray.!

The maid was willing, and HE did descend
To dwell with us and pitch 'mongst us his tent,
Rejoyce poor world in violence pain and fear,
Nine months to go yet and He wll be here.

Let the Eternal Word grow in our hearts,
And in this world that suffers so smarts,
Pray let it bloom, and thrive and burgeoning grow
And welcome the Lord's Kingdom here below!
