[bodytext] => It's a hot south African summers day All the rituals have been done 6 goslings Clapping their wings Running on the water like only they can It's the big day Mother the front Little ones at her back The take off went well The little ones For the first time Soars through the air Then she turns around The critical part Of the lesson is still ahead To get them to land They use the dam as the big landing strip Just like a 757 They come in with determination To splash as little water as they can But it's all for nothing First landing Duck feathers Fountains of water Broken egos galore Second and third lesson follows And amazingly by the fourth They make the most perfect landing You could ever wish for Amazing creatures They are for sure [comments] => 2 [counter] => 109 [topic] => 27 [informant] => Dirkj [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )
