The touch of love faded as the sun degraded,
The future is a whisper of an echo that I once dreamt
One more day to add to the tally, soon, so soon. through tired eyes, I look back,
Even now I know it's here, it's cold breath, running through,
My stomach tightens, I cant breath, the vice around my heart turns again,
In the end there is no pain, just the sorrow of what was, lost never to be again,
In the bleakness of the night hope took flight,
I count the days and I count the nights, wonder why,
Limited as it, maybe, seems an eternity to me,
Let the darkness in , let the lightness out, matters not to me, only the dead can see,
I scrape and claw, clasp and crawl, in the end destined to fall,
So warm that icy pit of omniscient nothingness I now adorn,
In the end we're all beloved [comments] => 5 [counter] => 275 [topic] => 75 [informant] => Strebor [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )

You don't need my compliment to know that this is a good poem.
