As black as the night
The face of a woman
Appears
As white and pale
As the inside of her heart
As she mumbles something
About a love that's lost

Then
All of a sudden
The room changes
Party, Guests , People
Shouting and loving the music of the night

From the stairs
He stumbles
With a knife in his back
His eyes wide open
No life can be seen in his heart
A Woman mumbles
About a love that is lost

Then the house changes
Back to Black
Her face stares deep into the night
Her eyes wide open
No life can be seen in her heart
She mumbles
About a love that is lost

Lightning came from nowhere
Strikes the house
The woman falls on her knees
Her white pale face
Overshadowed
By the colour of blood
Her eyes wide open
No sign of life in her heart

She mumbles something
Her lost lover
And her cries
Could be heard deep into the night [comments] => 0 [counter] => 136 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Dirkj [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
