We cut off all loose ties
We burn down all our bridges
We hold on so damn tight
To what we think was rigid

But as the ground we stand on shakes
And the faith we hold on breaks
Reality is just a nightmare

Like pawns in a chess game
We are marching to our deaths
Knowing that our fate

we all need heroes and people we can look up to, even heroes need heroes , just part of human nature, great poem, well done

That is so true. Glad some one wrote about it. I feel the same way.
