Array ( [sid] => 164915 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Freedom Waits. [time] => 2011-02-22 02:37:38 [hometext] => Sometimes when day to day living becomes a bore, it is good to get out on the hills and embrace the freedom waiting there. [bodytext] => At the bosom of the valley my freedom waits.
Through the gate I enter by the light of a solitary star,
Through sapling trees bent by an old wind,
Now dripping with the laughter of a new day,
I wander slowly as if tip toeing
Over the ribboned fragments of a dream.
I come upon a clearing
Where the half light enters the solitude.
The vastness of sky belittles my presence
And humbled by loneliness
I seek a peace deeper than the darkness.
Beyond the great peaks the horizon groans
Under the weight of winter-spring conflict
And begin to drain the valley of the last dregs of night.
Looking up I see the solitary star
Ushered away into oblivion.
I walk on through the stirring dawn until at last
I come upon the great emerald bosom of the valley.
And there, caressed by a soft breeze,
Serenaded by the hedgerow birds,
Embraced by the sleepy towering peaks,
I gratefully kneel at the bosom of my freedom. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 124 [topic] => 27 [informant] => cashfan1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )

Hi Dennis,

Another gem and unmistakingly hallmarked
by your unique style. You're a lucky man to be
surrounded by so much natural beauty, and
Nature is lucky to have you in observance.

Tommy

Beautifully done! Outstanding imagery that jumps off the page. What an uplifting and creative write that lets out a sigh. You have such a knack for capturing your surroundings and you bring the reader to your front door step each and every time. Great job my friend
