A quaint veneer
You paint away the story
So insincere
You’d rather pretend than say you ignore me
We’re finally free at last
Because the drugs conceal our broken past
Now live your dreams
Bask in the glory
Amongst the schemes
Go on and write your fairytale story
With true love’s unfailing heart
But the ink still turns the tale dark
Love is priceless
That’s why we bought it
With useless dates
Jewelry
And boxes of chocolate
But if the dream breaks down
Our pens still scribble out another round
So read the script
Stick to the story
Don’t think too much
You’re better off just to ignore me
Because if you never look
You could soon fill up your shelf with books
Have fun reading
