Unless its a comfort
To avoid being the target of your self loathing
By all means, blame me for your broken soul
But you were damaged long before
I tried to help, but I failed
You took my failure and twisted it to your needs
A reason to hate the world more
A reason to abuse yourself
Mentally and physically
A reason to spit in the face of humanity like livings just a morbid joke
I want you to know, I have already been where you stand
Its a dark place, so dark it consumes the tiny speck of light left in your world
I never meant for it to go that far for you
The reason I ended it when I did is because I saw this coming
You were too attached, and I figured the sooner the better
Maybe I was wrong
Maybe I should have stuck it out with you a little longer
At least until I saw you grow and evolve
I was never enough to stop the crumbling, though
I could always see it in your eyes
Perhaps you need this
You will hit rock bottom
But I have faith you will survive
Some day you will find your happiness
Your truth, your peace
I just wish I could have helped
But it seems I was no use to your soul
All I did was hurt you; I was toxic [comments] => 4 [counter] => 156 [topic] => 22 [informant] => The_unknown [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Love rocks, attachment sucks. Unfortunately it often comes with the field.
