These strings… they effect… both fools and kings,

A pull on desire… collapse of restraint,
These strings can be seen… though they are quite faint,

Invisible to the eye, but real none the same,
For tugging these strings…none can be blamed,

It's in our nature, to pull at these ties,
And hide ourselves inside their disguise,

These strings they are used, for both lies and truth,
Sometimes they are rough, and sometimes…smooth,

These strings… they can leave you… torn and abused,
They almost always decide… the path that you choose,

These strings can be pulled by the future… or past,
The effect of these strings… does not always last,

A string that pulls you… a string that pulls me…
Without these stings… we would not be,

In absence of strings... life would be dull,
Here are my strings… so please my friend... pull.

I like this a lot. I love the way it flows almost fluidly the whole way through and the last verse is the best way to end this poem. Good job
