[bodytext] => I don't sleep at night; I leave my light on, My blinds stay down as I roam around, I live in fear; the truman show, Monitored by CCTV everywhere that I go, The television and radio instill fear in my mind, Eroding my faith in the good-nature of mankind, Pedophiles, rapists, murderers loom, Everywhere all is doom and gloom, Suspicious of others, suspicious of self, Behaving erratically, subject to ill health, How can one trust in a world full of fear? Citizens monitored, condemned by their peers, Everyone anxious, shrouded in hate, Devolving, nearer and nearer to an Orwellian state, Freedoms eroded, consciences numbed, Each and everyone to fear succumbs, Listen to the people talking in the street, Dwelling on tragedy; conceding defeat, Originality a source of paranoia and hate, Eccentricities suppressed, discouraged by the state, A society of zombies dead to the world, Hiding, afraid, perpetuating suspicion and fear, Bombarded by opinions everywhere we look, Blinded by our insatiable quest, To be an island in the midst of this mess.
